Reflective Acrylic Paintings
Students will be inspired by artist Janet Fish, an American realist painter known for her bright and colorful still life's. With particular attention to transparency and reflective light, Fish often chooses glass, plastic, and mirrors as her subject, rendered in loose, painterly brushstrokes. Students will set up there own still life and photograph it for the subject matter of this painting. They will also learn how to stretch and prime their own canvas.
“What matters is the complex relationship of color and form from one area of the painting to another. Eventually everything is intertwined.” Janet Fish
