Journalist Photo ShootPhotojournalism is a form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that employs images in order to tell a news story. It is usually referred only to still images, but in some cases the term also refers to video used in broadcast journalism. Photojournalism is distinguished from other close branches of photography by complying with a rigid ethical framework which demands the work be both honest and impartial while telling the story in strictly journalistic terms. Photojournalists create pictures that contribute to the news media, and help communities connect with one other. Photojournalists must be well informed and knowledgeable about events happening right outside their door. They deliver news in a creative format that is not only informative, but also entertaining.

Layer Masking - Me, Myself & I
Layer masks are a fundamental tool in image manipulations. They allow you to selectively modify the opacity (transparency) of the layer they belong to. This differs from the use of the layer Opacity slider as a mask has the ability to selectively modify the opacity of different areas across a single layer.

Fragmented MonumentsThis project is inspired by photographer Thomas Kellner, who claims buildings have become metaphors for a culture in fragments. Using Contact prints v.s single photographs he combines several images into one photograph. "The result is a beautiful shock" as Kellner states. The more the building or structure disappears; the more you begin to see the picture itself rather than an image of something.
